Installation Instructions

  1. Remove cover of stock air box assembly
  2. Remove the three bolts holding the air box in place
  3. Loosen the clamp holding the OEM tube to the air box
  4. Disconnect the feed tube from the bottom of the air box
  5. Remove air box assembly from engine compartment
  6. Disconnect feed tube from front bracket and remove from engine compartment
  7. Install large rubber bushing on back mounting bolt
  8. Install small rubber bushings on remaining mounting brackets using a small piece of tape folded in a loop to hold the bushings in place while you thread the mounting bolts. (Remove the tape once the bolts are threaded)
  9. Place heat shield over mounting brackets. Use one washer on each bolt and thread the mounting bolts.
  10. Place a jack under the driver side front and lift almost off the ground. This will allow you to thread the bottom bolt by reaching inside the fender well.
  11. Tighten the bolts snug but not to tight. (8-9lbs-ft) You will damage the bushings if you over tighten the bolts.
  12. Insert the tube assembly into the stock OEM tube. Stop before contacting the air temp sensor that sticks inside the stock tube.
  13. Rotate the assembly to line up the mounting strap with the bracket.
  14. Be sure to hold the assembly-mounting strap so there is about 1/8 inch clearance between the strap and the heat shield.
  15. Check clearance of small vacuum hose to throttle cable bracket. (Poor clearance could result in hose damage).
  16. When all clearances have been checked and are good. Thread bolt with washer into bracket and tighten snug but not to tight. (8-9lbs-ft) Then tighten the clamp on the discharge tube.
  17. Place filter over end of pipe assembly and tighten clamp.
  18. Lower the car and remove the jack.
  19. GO PLAY WITH YOUR NEW FOUND PONIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
