DYNO Testing
BISHOP MOTOR SPORTS. LLC, tests every intake design on a DYNOJET MODEL 248 chassis dynometer. We do this so that we can be sure that the design we finally offer you is the most powerful one we can. " THE DYNO DON'T LIE".
See The Dyno in action (Video Download)
*The first run is always going to be high due to a cold intake manifold and should not be counted.
The stock dyno runs show the negative effect heat has on the consistency of power delivery. The RSX is very sensitive to air intake temperature changes. The stock computer will back off the timing and add more fuel under these conditions to avoid detonation. The computer will constantly adjust these parameters to keep the engine in the "safe zone".
The next set of runs shows both the Power increase of the Bishop Motor Sports intake and how the ceramic coating of the heat shield and the pipe assembly help to stabilize power output.
The runs below show the real Power of the Bishop Motor Sports intake. Even the High numbers of the first run, which is a throw away run according to most experts, still shows a significant increase in power over all other short rams. The Mid and Low runs show consistent power until now only seen in Cold air systems. Bolt on 20HP in 20 minutes
